Description

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our branch operations at our Mundelein, IL location. The role involves planning, organizing, maintaining, and growing a target and core dealer base, while ensuring they are informed about COD products and services.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and warehouse equipment safely to load/unload/transfer materials without damage.
• Receive items per procedures and stock appropriately.
• Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Complete Will Calls and ensure accurate paperwork and transaction entries.
• Wear proper PPE and uniforms during shifts.
• Perform warehouse housekeeping and safety checks, including forklift inspections.
• Assist customers and customer service representatives as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to process products, including loading and unloading.
• Operate forklift safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Be eligible for forklift certification within 30 days.
• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Dependable team player with positive relationships.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Experience

• At least 1 year of warehouse/logistics experience.
• Preferably 1 year of industrial forklift experience.

Education

• High School diploma or GED.
• Forklift training/certification preferred.
