Job summary

Summit Electric Supply seeks an entry-level warehouse associate to receive material, pick and prepare orders, and support will-call or delivery needs. You will learn product knowledge and industry best practices for future opportunities at Summit.

Qualifications

• Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.

• Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
• Maintain the warehouse and outside areas neat and clean at all times.

Role Summary

Summit’s warehouse associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers’ needs for materials and services by receiving new material from vendors, picking and preparing orders for will-call or delivery, and participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices. This entry-level position introduces the associate to the business and helps them learn product knowledge and industry best practices for future opportunities at Summit.

Principal Accountabilities

• Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
• Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• Load and unload Summit trucks.
• Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.
• Understand products, their capabilities, and warranties.
• Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
• Maintain the warehouse and outside areas neat and clean at all times.
• Maintain safe practices and uphold Summit’s commitment to a safe workplace.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
