Job summary

Valley Truck Parts is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Wyoming, MI facility. The role involves pulling parts and delivering them to the production line with strong customer service, detail orientation, and adherence to SOPs.

Working hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. No nights and no weekends. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain it is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ship parts to branches or direct to customers.
• Collaborate with team-leader to resolve issues.

Job summary/Objective of Job

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately pulling parts and delivering them to the production line in a timely manner. A successful candidate must have outstanding customer service skills and a positive can-do attitude. They also must be self-motivated, self-directed team players with social interaction skills, great attention to detail, be able to follow processes and work well within guidelines and procedures.

Summary of essential job functions

• Understand the layout of the warehouse and bin / shelf location systems
• Retrieve and or put away parts consistent with established SOP’s
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations to ensure accuracy of requests
• Follow established SOP’s for discrepancies such as damaged, misplaced or part shortages
• Operate all material handling equipment safely while adhering to all company and OSHA policies and regulations
• Deliver materials to technicians or other requests in a timely manner
• Ship parts to branch locations or ship direct to customer locations
• Work closely with team-leader / Department Manager to resolve any task concerns that arise
• Cross-train on alternate assignment and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Perform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate with associates and display teamwork in completing task assignments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain
• Basic math and computer skills
• Possess good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
