Job summary

DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES DIST INC in Sterling, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional service to internal and external customers. The role supports accurate inventory, cycle counts, and timely paperwork in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift and warehouse equipment, stocking items, completing Will Calls, and adhering to safety and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse experience required.
• 1+ year forklift experience strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.
• Must have forklift certification in house within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift and other warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer material and product without damage.
• Ensure all items are received per procedure and stocked in assigned locations.
• Maintain Inventory and Prepare Cycle Counts.
• Complete Will Calls and related paperwork.
• Follow SOPs, work processes and company policies.
• Assist Customers and CSRs as needed.
• Maintain PPE and uniform; follow safety procedures and report concerns.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional quality customer service to all internal and external customers. The warehouse associate is accountable for the movement of all materials within the warehouse and overall appearance while ensuring to meet all safety protocols.

Position Responsibilities may include;

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift and additional warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer material and product without causing damage within the warehouse and to/from delivery trucks
• Ensure all items are received per procedure and stocked in assigned locations
• Maintain Inventory and Prepare Cycle Counts
• Complete Will Calls
• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of paperwork and transaction entries
• Proper PPE and uniform must be worn at all times during each shift
• Maintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures including pre and post shift forklift inspections. Alert manager of any concerns immediately.
• Assist Customers and CSRs as needed
• Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes and Company policies
• Perform additional tasks as required

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse
• Ability to pass Prove It and driving test
• Must be eligible to be forklift certified in house within 30 days

Experience

1 plus years of warehouse experience

1 plus years industrial forklift experience strongly preferred.

Education/Certification:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must have Valid driver’s license

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs or lift lighter items repetitively or perform 2 man lifts for heavier items. The ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
