Contract to Hire - 6 month contract followed by direct hire

Work Schedule:

1st shift: 5am-2pm

40 hours + 5-10 hours OT weekly

MUST HAVES:

This position involves managing a warehouse that ships and receives drums of hazardous and nonhazardous materials over 10 days. All drums are sealed upon receipt; no handling of internal contents is required.

Must pass drug and background screening

Our Environmental Recycling client seeks a Warehouse Technician to assist with their 10-day storage facility. Responsibilities include safe offloading of trucks, correct labeling of barrels, generating manifests, and shipping materials.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure health & safety policies are followed at all times
• Assist with operations involving moving, loading, and off-loading trucks
• Manage inbound and outbound trailers at the facility
• Coordinate processing of inbound and stored materials
• Maintain inventory and load supplies onto outbound trucks
• Properly label and placard all containers and trucks
• Work collaboratively with team members following safety procedures
• Prepare shipping documentation for customers

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years experience in shipping and receiving

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work alert and safely at all times
• DOT Training and knowledge of regulations
• Training in handling hazardous waste
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Working knowledge of EPA, DOT, OSHA regulations
• Regular and predictable attendance
