Job summary

Goodwill TalentBridge is hiring a Warehouse Associate, Picker/Packer – 1st Shift. This contract-to-hire position runs Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST, at a pay rate of $19.00/hour.

Under supervision, you will pick, pack, quality check, and prepare customer orders for shipment, supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations. Qualifications

• Previous picker/packer experience in a warehouse environment.
• Shipping and receiving experience required.
• Experience operating a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or forklifts preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials safely.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer and production orders according to order requirements.
• Verify picked items and perform quality control checks to ensure order accuracy.
• Package products for shipment and prepare orders for delivery to customers.
• Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and requisitions.
• Operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or Class I-V forklifts in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Stock inventory in designated bins and shelving locations.
• Process and check in RMA and RTV items.
• Report damages, shortages, and inventory discrepancies for documentation and resolution.
• Assist with weekly cycle counts and semi-annual inventory counts.

Picker/Packer – 1st Shift Contract - Hire

Employment Type: Contract -to-Hire

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately picking, packing, quality checking, and preparing customer orders for shipment while maintaining company standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity. This position also supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations. This is a temp-to-hire role with the potential for long-term employment and full benefits upon conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer and production orders according to order requirements.
• Verify picked items and perform quality control checks to ensure order accuracy.
• Package products for shipment and prepare orders for delivery to customers.
• Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and requisitions.
• Operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or Class I-V forklifts in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Prepare skids and pallets for freight shipments, including wrapping and strapping.
• Stock inventory in designated bins and shelving locations.
• Package and perform quality control inspections on outgoing products and parts.
• Process and check in RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and RTV (Return to Vendor) items.
• Report damages, shortages, and inventory discrepancies for documentation and resolution.
• Ensure products received from vendors are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
• Assist with weekly cycle counts and semi-annual inventory counts.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute improvement ideas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Required Qualifications

• Previous picker/packer experience in a warehouse environment.
• Shipping and receiving experience required.
• Experience operating a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or forklifts preferred.
• Ability to accurately pick, pack, and quality check orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock replenishment preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials safely.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA guidelines.

Must-Have Requirements: Picker/packer experience, shipping/receiving experience, and experience operating a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or forklifts.
