Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking a Warehouse Worker to perform a mix of loading, unloading, and moving materials around the manufacturing facility. You will maintain inventory accuracy and support production with timely material requests.

Under supervision, you will use a forklift or manual methods to handle items, participate in cycle counts, and help improve MRD reorder points while coordinating with production staff to ensure non-conforming materials are properly processed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes and cycle counts.
• Ability to work with production staff and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Fills work orders and materials requests for production.
• Unloads materials using forklift or manually from pallets and shelves.
• Receives materials into inventory system and places them in correct locations.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and performs weekly MRD audits.
• Works on projects to improve reorder points for MRD materials.
• Updates expediting boards throughout the day.

Job description

Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Worker will perform a combination of tasks to load, unload, and move material and parts in and around the manufacturing facility. You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory.

Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fills work orders, requests for materials or other stock items distributing items to production workers
• Utilizes forklift or manually unloads materials to/from pallets, racks, and shelves delivered to the BU
• Receives materials into the inventory management system, placing at the proper location within the production system
• Assistswith maintaining inventory accuracy and monthly cycle counts by conducting weekly audits of the MRD system
• Works on projects to continuously improve visual re-order points for MRD materials
• Updates the expedite communications boards throughout the day as business is conducted
• Responsible for working closely with production staff toensure non-conforming materials are identified and are accurately processed in a timely manner
