Job summary

Fence Outlet is seeking a Warehouse Attendant in Florida to assemble and prepare fence parts for customers and installations. You will support inventory, operate forklifts, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary with 40-hour weeks, 10 vacation days after 90 days, holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k). Growth opportunities exist within departments as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in construction or repair.
• 2–4 years of experience in building or trade positions.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to problem solve and take initiative to correct issues.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload equipment for internal customers and drivers.
• Check equipment for damage during unloading.
• Refuel gasoline/diesel, check oil and water levels for equipment and forklifts.
• Use small air tools, small electric tools, banding, hand tools; operate routers.
• Inventory counting and replenishment of materials.
• Occasional repainting of equipment and housekeeping.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on forklifts; move stationary and tow-behind equipment.
• Clean warehouse and yard; rearrange equipment and maintain yard.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.

The Warehouse Attendant will be responsible for creating and/or assembling all fence parts and pieces into finished fence materials. In performing the essential functions of the job the Warehouse Attendant will support business goals and objectives while supporting the company’s mission, vision and values through all he/she does on a daily basis.

Major Responsibilities

EOE-M/F/V/H Drug Screen/Background Check Required

• Loading/unloading equipment for internal customers and drivers
• Upon unloading of equipment, checking for damage to equipment
• Refueling of gasoline or diesel, oil, water levels for equipment and forklifts
• The use of small air tools, small electric tools, banding, hand tools and use of router.
• Inventory counting / Replenishment of materials
• Occasional repainting of equipment and housekeeping
• General safety knowledge and operation of walk-behind and ride-on equipment shop forklifts for moving of stationary and tow-behind equipment
• Cleaning warehouse and yard by sweeping shop floors, rearranging equipment or using tools/equipment to clean the yard
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

Requirements

• A high school is required or GED.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads is preferred.
• 2-4 years prior experience in building or trade position(s).
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to problem solve, take initiative to correct situation that require intervention.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to continuously see.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.
• Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discrimination in sound.
• Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs.; occasionally lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and drive to and from work locations.
• As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays
