Job summary

Worldwide Golf Shops LLC is seeking a warehouse associate in Joliet, IL to support shipping and receiving operations. The role requires teamwork in a fast-paced environment and a schedule of 30–40 hours per week with hours varying by day and season.

Experience with forklift/order picker lifts is a plus but not required. We offer medical/dental/vision benefits, an HSA contribution, a 401(k) match, and paid vacation for full-time staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance and select containers.
• Check shipped items against work orders for quantity and routing accuracy.
• Receive/unload incoming materials and verify against packing slips.
• Sort, count, package, label, and log inventory for shipping/receiving.
• Inspect shipments for damages; report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain signatures.
• Maintain department database and prepare routine shipping/receiving reports.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, forklift, and wrap machines as needed; may drive company vehicles.
• Follow departmental policies, safety, and infection-control standards.

Job description

This position may be a dual position for both the shipping and the receiving departments. Therefore, the ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment is essential.

This position will currently be scheduled 30 - 40 hours/week - flexibility is required as the scheduled hours will vary daily/weekly/seasonally. (Scheduled hours will generally be from 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 3:30pm on Saturdays. Occasional Sundays during peak seasons)

Experience on Fork Lift Trucks and/or Order Picker Lift Trucks is a PLUS but not required.

This role will be based at our new warehouse located at2750 Ellis Drive,Joliet, IL 60433

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisors and/or purchasing personnel.
• Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
• May maintain the department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machines; may operate company vehicles to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area; may lock warehouse and set alarms.
• Follows established departmental policies, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Any warehouse/shipping & receiving experience is a plus, but not required (we are open to entry-level candidates with no warehouse experience)
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to read and write.
• Record maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. ?
