Job summary

West Shore Home is hiring for a Distribution Center Warehouse Associate in Irving, TX. You will assist the DC Supervisor with shipping and receiving, inventory counts, and maintaining supplies, while keeping the facility safe and organized.

Typical duties include reviewing bills of lading, verifying incoming material, performing periodic counts, and assisting with light maintenance. The role offers full-time hours, weekday schedule, and benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with shipping and receiving preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions related directly to job functions.

Responsibilities

• Review Bill of Ladings and packing slips for accuracy.
• Verify the quantity and correctness of incoming materials against bills of lading and document discrepancies.
• Notify on-site supervisor of discrepancies in material or documentation.
• Route incoming goods to proper departments.
• Perform periodic physical inventory counts.
• Perform light building maintenance throughout facility as needed.
• Remove snow/ice from parking lots, sidewalks and steps as needed.
• Keep warehouse neat, clean, and organized.

Position: Distribution Center Warehouse Associate

Location: 6425 Campus Circle Dr W. Irving TX, 75063

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM (Full-Time)

Purpose of Position:

The Distribution Center Warehouse Associate will assist the Distribution Center Supervisor in supporting the assigned Regional Operations team by handling shipping and receiving, maintaining consumables and supplies, handling building maintenance, and participating as needed in Lean events, 6S, and Inventory Management Systems.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Shipping and Receiving

• Review Bill of Ladings and packing slips for accuracy.
• Verify the quantity and correctness of incoming materials (bulk cases, any incoming count for correctness) against bills of lading and document any discrepancies.
• Notify on-site supervisor of any discrepancy in material or documentation.
• Route incoming goods to the proper departments.

Supplies/Consumables

• Ensure accuracy when picking product.
• Perform periodic physical inventory counts.

Building Maintenance

• Perform light building maintenance throughout facility as need or instructed.
• Remove snow/ice from parking lots, sidewalks and steps as needed.
• Keep warehouse neat, clean, and organized.

Compensation:

The approximate salary range (or hourly pay) for this position is $21-$23 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
