Job summary

The Tile Shop in Indianapolis is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support inventory control and order fulfillment. You will read orders, pick items, pack, load and unload shipments, and maintain accurate records on daily stock and movements.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, following safety protocols, cycle counting, labeling, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. The position requires a strong work ethic, basic math and computer skills, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, or requisitions and assemble orders from stock.
• Sort and place materials by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete paperwork for inventory including shipping confirmations and purchase orders.
• Ensure accuracy of store inventory at all times.
• Label orders and back stock clearly.
• Participate in cycle counting program.
• Load and unload customer vehicles and obtain signatures for delivery paperwork.
• Process incoming freight in a timely manner.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts to move inventory.
• Record product receipts and distributions.
• Maintain cleanliness/organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into computer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to assemble customer orders from stock and place order on pallet or shelves.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete all paperwork pertaining to inventory, which includes shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS.
• Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times.
• Label all orders and back stock clearly.
• Participate in the cycle counting program.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; ensure proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer after loading of product.
• Process incoming freight trucks in a timely manner.
• Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, to move inventory.
• Inspect equipment to maintain good working order.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.
• Accountable for overall cleanliness/organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into computer.
• Other duties as assigned.
