Job summary

National Oak Distributors (NOD) is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate to join our Hartford, CT team. This role covers receiving, warehousing, and shipping with emphasis on accurate order picking, packing, labeling, and inventory control.

You will operate RF scanners and pallet jacks, while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in order picking and packaging, strong communication skills, and basic data entry and

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
  • Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper warehousing procedures.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to shipping guidelines.
  • Prepare shipments for dispatch, including packaging and labeling, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory management tasks to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring the safe handling of goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and data entry.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, encompassing receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.   • Experience with palletizing.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
