Job summary

Shingle & Gibb Automation is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Hartford, CT. You will receive, store, select, pack, and distribute inventory while following safety procedures and company standards.

You will perform light lifting, operate warehouse equipment, unload deliveries, and prepare orders for shipment. The role requires reliable attendance, ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, and a starting pay of $20.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.
• Lift and move inventory as needed.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload deliveries and identify material; note discrepancies.
• Store products in proper locations and pack customer orders to meet standards.
• May perform light delivery duties using a small van to satisfy customer orders.

Overview

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information

• Steel toed boots required.
