Job summary

Shingle & Gibb Automation in Newtown, CT is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store, pick, pack, and distribute inventory.

The role requires lifting, moving inventory, operating light warehouse equipment, and performing daily safety checks. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with compensation starting at $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• May perform delivery driver duties with a light van.

Overview

Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions

Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse. Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions. Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections. Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies. Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required. Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations. May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Work Shift and Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Compensation Details

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
