Job summary

First Call is hiring for a warehouse associate who is responsible for performing all duties related to the receipt, handling, storage, preparation, and shipment of incoming and outgoing merchandise.Key Responsibilities• Load, unload, and transfer merchandise to designated areas in accordance with established training procedures.• Stock merchandise in the warehouse, including operating appropriate equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to designated shelves or storage areas.• Inspect merchandise for deficiencies or breakage prior to shipment or placement into warehouse storage.• Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate documentation.• Complete inventory preparation for warehouse stock.• Verify merchandise and manually apply tickets daily.• Organize merchandise and prepare products for shipment as needed.• Fill customer orders according to invoices, complete required paperwork, and place a copy of the paperwork with the merchandise for shipment.• Prepare special promotional packages as needed.• Operate a tape gun to seal boxes for shipment or storage.• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workplace, including moving pallets, sweeping, and removing or disposing of debris.• Follow all safety procedures in accordance with approved training and immediately report dangerous conditions to management.• Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities• Oral communication skills• Written communication skills• Basic math aptitude• Organization and planning skills• Reading skills• Time management skills• Ability to lift at least 50 poundsExperience• Prior warehouse experience preferred• Previous Fork Lift certification preferred#firstcallric
