Job summary

Sprout is seeking a hands-on ITAD Operator to identify IT assets, sort materials, and maintain organized stock areas on our Dallas area site. You will disassemble devices for recycling or disposal and ensure procedures meet safety standards and data security requirements.

The role requires basic tool use, stamina for stand/walk shifts, and occasional overtime. Prior warehouse or ITAD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic.
• Experience with hand tools (power drill, pliers, etc.).
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• Adaptability to changing tasks and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Safely transport materials across the site.
• Keep workstations and stock areas organized.
• Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
• Follow all safety procedures and data security protocols (R2v3, ISO 27001).
• Perform basic record-keeping tasks and maintain cleanliness and safety.

ITAD Operators are responsible for the identification, sorting, reconciliation, and de-manufacturing of IT assets in alignment with Sprout's operational and environmental standards. With increasing responsibilities and technical proficiency, ITAD Operators advance through Levels 1 to 4 based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities

• Product Identification: Recognize and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Material Handling: Safely transport materials across the site.
• Organizing Stock: Keep workstations and stock areas organized.
• De-Manufacturing: Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
• Adherence to Operational Procedures.
• Safety and Security Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and data security procedures (R2v3, ISO 27001).
• Basic product identification and material handling.
• Perform standard de-manufacturing and basic record-keeping tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding the English language.
• Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic.
• Experience with hand tools (power drill, pliers, etc.)
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.
• Adaptability to changing tasks and expectations.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety compliance.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for an entire shift.
• Experience in a warehouse environment required. Previous ITAD experience preferred.
