Job summary

Sproutup is seeking an ITAD Operator to join our nationwide and international partner network. You will identify, sort, and de-manufacture IT assets in line with our environmental standards and ERP-driven processes.

The role requires 1+ year in ITAD or reverse logistics, basic math, and comfort with tools and scanning equipment. Weekend overtime may be required, with safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
• Able to type 40 words per minute accurately.
• Basic arithmetic proficiency required for stock counts and reconciliations.
• Experience with hand tools (power drill, pliers, etc.) is preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Safely transport materials across the site and keep work areas organized.
• Disassemble IT assets into components for recycling or disposal.
• Adhere to operational procedures and data security standards (R2v3, ISO 27001).
• Record actions and materials in ERP using scanners and manual entries.

ITAD Operators are responsible for the identification, sorting, reconciliation, and de-manufacturing of IT assets in alignment with Sprout’s operational and environmental standards. With increasing responsibilities and technical proficiency, ITAD Operators advance through Levels 1 to 4 based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities

• Product Identification: Recognize and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Material Handling: Safely transport materials across the site.
• Organizing Stock: Keep workstations and stock areas organized.
• De-Manufacturing: Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
• Adherence to Operational Procedures.
• Safety and Security Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and data security procedures (R2v3, ISO 27001).
• Mastery of the following operational processing activities: Audit, De-Manufacturing, & Clean / Pack.
• Record Keeping: Document all actions and materials accurately using scan guns and manual entries in ERP system, creating labels as needed.
• Perform more advanced stock organization and material recovery tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding the English language.
• Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic.
• Experience with hand tools (power drill, pliers, etc.)
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.
• Adaptability to changing tasks and expectations.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in ITAD or reverse logistics.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management and advanced handling techniques.
• Demonstrated skill in process improvement and quality control.
