Job summary

Eclipse Advantage in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to unload, sort, and move freight using RF scanners and pallet jacks. You will operate various warehouse equipment, maintain accuracy in packing lists, and help keep the workspace safe and organized.

Candidates should have at least 1 year warehouse experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to work in cooler environments. The role requires reliability, good communication, and willingness to work overtime during

Job Description:

• Unloads and breaks down freight (eg.trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc.)
• Sorts and organizes freight
• Operate various types of material handling equipment
• Sort, repack, and label freight
• Identify unusable pallets
• Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
• Remove items from sorting bins, scan and place onto conveyer belt
• Remove items from packing bins, scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy, produce packing list and bag items
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures. (eg.bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
• Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition

Pay Range:

$17.00 - $17.00 per hour

Pay Scale:

Not Applicable

Shift:

Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of warehouse experience
• 1 year of experience using an Electric Pallet Jack
• Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
• Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (ie electric pallet jack)
• Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
• Ability to work in various climate conditions ( including cooler/freezers)
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
• Effective communication skills
• Safety shoes are required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Other duties as assigned
