Warehouse Associate

Eastside Machine Company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, and coordinating logistics to meet customer demands. This role requires the ability to operate a forklift, utilize inventory management software, and maintain accuracy and safety in all warehouse operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service by assisting walk-in customers.

Eastside Machine company is a locally owned manufacturing company based in Fargo, North Dakota, offering roll-forming machines for seamless steel siding, roofing, and gutters, as well as custom machines. We operate a machining shop with a variety of expert services for hire and are also vertically integrated as the supplier of the steel coil used by our machines through our partner, EMCO Building Products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment, including packing, labeling, and loading
• Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipment quantities and product descriptions; report discrepancies
• Ensure a positive customer experience by providing courteous and efficient service for walk-in customers with product inquiries, order pickups, and returns
• Safely operate, inspect, and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to be compliant with safety regulations and warehouse procedures
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency

Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping, or customer service preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
• Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software
• Forklift certification is a plus
