Job summary

C.H. Robinson Worldwide is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Des Plaines, IL to support inbound/outbound cargo movement within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, load/unload shipments, manage paperwork, and ensure accuracy and safety throughout all tasks.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility with shifts. A pre-employment drug screen is required, and experience with Bills of Lading and WMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Pre-employment drug screen may be required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours/days.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing and reporting discrepancies.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallets handling, stretch wrapping and banding.
• Load and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage-free manner.
• Prepare outbound loads with paperwork labeling and Unit Load Device (ULD) prep.
• Sign off Bills of Lading and verify counts and damages.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness; stage cargo safely.
• Use Warehouse Management System for bookings and stock checks as required.
