POSITION SUMMARY
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Warehouse Associate to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer satisfaction. In this role, you will support vital operations tasks, facilitating the smooth movement of inbound and outbound cargo from trailers or ocean containers through our warehouse. Your previous warehouse experience, attention to detail, and safety focus will be crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damages.
- Operate stand‑up, sit‑down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargo.
- Load and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage‑free manner.
- Prepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparation.
- Sign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damages.
- Maintain the flow of materials and products in warehouses with varying degrees.
- Stage cargo within the warehouse safely and orderly while maintaining standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure proper warehouse organization through the use of warehouse booking‑in sheets or Warehouse Management System (site specific).
- Handle logistics accounts, picking, packing, inventory reporting/stock checks as needed to achieve quality standards outlined in SOP or customer requirements, including reworking or recouping of freight.
- Recommend process improvements, resulting in problem resolution and efficiency gains.
- Contribute to the development of new SOPs related to new business, product, or process changes.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff assigned to an area/department.
- Execute Site Specific duties such as: cross‑functional areas (receiving, loading, picking, shipping, etc.), completion of weekly bond checks, Dock‑to‑Stock procedures, and handling bonded import freight in External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum 6 months of previous C.H. Robinson warehouse operations experience.
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Applicants must complete a pre‑employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offer.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or days (Site Specific).
- Exceed location established performance standards, i.e. established KPIs (Site Specific).
- Ability to speak Spanish (Site Specific).
- High school diploma or GED (Preferred).
- Previous external warehouse/freight forwarder experience (Preferred).
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, Delivery Orders, etc. (Preferred).
COMPENSATION
Base pay range: $16.25 - $24.07 per hour. The displayed range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Individual base pay within this range is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
