Job summary

Mattress Firm in Denver, CO is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load/unload deliveries, stage shipments, stock inventory, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse. You will operate order pickers and equipment, inspect products, and ensure proper paperwork and safety compliance.

High school diploma preferred; 1+ years general work experience is a plus. Benefits include 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision, life resources, and on-demand pay.

  • Knowledge General warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection.
  • Microsoft Office products (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
  • Stage deliveries.
  • Store all product in designated location.
  • Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
  • Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.
  • Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
  • Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
  • May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
  • Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning parking lot and entrance to building.
  • Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
  • Ensure cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, warehouse floor, truck docks and aisles through mopping, sweeping, and washing.
  • Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal area, and recycling materials.
  • Clean and sanitize product per Company standard operating procedure.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.

Physical Demands: Warehouse Environment. Sitting frequently. Standing frequently. Walking frequently. Talking frequently. Hearing frequently. Lift or move up to 100 pounds. Usage of hands and fingers. Reaching with hands and arms. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally. Sight is required to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Scope: Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions. Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance. Failure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization. Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Compensation:

Competitive pay range of Pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

*Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion for eligible roles, including leadership and individual contributor positions.
