Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load/unload shipments, stage deliveries, and keep inventory organized. You will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring products are rotated and stored correctly, while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and reliable time management during the 6:00am-2:30pm shift. Applicant must be legally eligible to work in the United States. EOE.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.

• Familiarity with powered industrial trucks (PIT) and equipment inspection.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products from delivery trucks and shipments.
• Stage deliveries and store products in designated locations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and rotate stock as scheduled.
• Inspect products for defects and damages upon receipt/shipping.
• Obtain signatures on paperwork and assist customer pickups.

Essential Responsibilities

• Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
• Stage deliveries.
• Store all products in designated locations.
• Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
• Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
• Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.
• Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
• Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
• Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
• May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
• Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning the parking lot and entrance to the building.
• Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
• Mop, sweep, and wash offices, bathrooms, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles to ensure cleanliness.
• Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling materials.
• Clean and sanitize products per Company standard operating procedure.
• Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
• Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
• Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

• Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Professional Experience

• 1+ Years of general warehouse experience preferred.

Compensation

• Competitive pay range of $19.50-$21.00 per hour
• Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion for eligible roles, including leadership and individual contributor positions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
