Job summary

Midwest Kitchens is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate in Erie, PA. The role includes loading/unloading shipments, working in freezers and coolers, and assisting with meat prep and sous vide cooking to support the plant operations.

The position offers a Monday–Friday shift from 5:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. with comprehensive benefits and a positive team environment. Physical demands include heavy lifting and standing for long periods in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to meet physical requirements including heavy lifting, standing, and walking throughout shift.
• Work on wet or slippery surfaces and in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading shipments.
• Working in freezers and coolers to store and prepare raw meat.
• Propper preparation of raw meats.
• Sous vide cooking.
• Packing of the finished product.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

Midwest Kitchens, in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. Midwest Kitchens is a premium food service cook plant that uses sous vide cooking to prepare various products for commercial kitchens. The Warehouse Associate will have an adaptable role in supporting the plant in many areas. The warehouse associate is essential to the company's success, from food preparations to packing, sanitation, and more.

Wage: $19.00 per hour

Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

*** This position will require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Warehouse Associate will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures, ranging from hot/warm, to cold 20-40° F, damp/wet, and freezing temperatures. In addition, this position requires the use of sharp cutting tools. ***

• Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen
