Job summary

Valbruna, a leader in stainless steels and specialty alloys, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Chino, California. You will read orders, assemble customer orders, and move materials within the warehouse using a forklift, ensuring accurate counts and efficient distribution.

The role emphasizes safe operation in a fast-paced environment, inventory records, and adherence to company standards. Prior forklift and metals industry experience are preferred, with benefits and profit sharing offered.

Responsibilities

• Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys material and items from receiving or other areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places material or items on racks or shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes for shipment.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders for shipping.
• Marks material with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of material or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance with company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Maintains inventory records.

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,800 employees and an annual output of approx. 300,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. • Hourly Rate $20-21.50, based on experience, benefits, and profit sharing
