Job summary

Valbruna Group USA is hiring an electrical maintenance technician to inspect, repair, install, adjust, maintain, and wire electrical systems in the plant. You will work with control systems, motors, drives, and low voltage distribution, using blueprints to plan tasks and diagnose issues with PLCs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years related experience; journeyman status is helpful. All shifts are available and the role offers competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, adjust, maintain, and wire all electrical in the plant or assigned areas including distribution, control systems and devices, motors and drives (excluding High Voltage).
• Use electronic, instrument, and control theory to install, repair, and maintain electronics, instruments, and process control systems.
• Access PLCs programs to diagnose issues and modify when necessary.
• Interpret, analyze and solve electrical problems.
• Plan electrical work from blueprints and reason through electrical problems.

Job description

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,800 employees and an annual output of approx. 250,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.

• Inspect, repair, install, adjust, maintain, and wire all electrical, in the plant or assigned areas including basic building and office distribution, control systems and devices, motors and drives with the exception of High Voltage Equipment.
• Use electronic, instrument, and control theory to install, repair, and maintain all types of electronics, instrument, and process control systems, through the plant.
• Access PLCs programs to diagnose issues and when necessary modify.
• Interpret, analyze and solve electrical problems.
• Plan electrical work from blueprints and reason through electrical problems.
• Use various tradesmen's tools in making electrical installations and repairs.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journeyman's status helpful.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
