Ideal candidates have prior warehouse experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a team-oriented mindset. Overtime may be required to meet operational needs and keep cargo moving safely.

Schulte Staffing is seeking dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associates for a busy freight and logistics company located in Chelsea, MA. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced freight environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork. This position involves handling inbound and outbound freight, loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring cargo is processed safely and efficiently. Pay start at $22+/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and pallets in a timely and safe manner.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming freight, ensuring accurate piece counts and documentation.
• Identify and report damaged freight, shortages, and shipment discrepancies.
• Build, organize, wrap, and properly secure pallets for storage and transportation.
• Assist with freight sorting, staging, cross-docking, and cargo screening.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Complete warehouse control forms, freight manifests, and shipping documentation accurately.
• Handle airline cargo and Unit Load Devices (ULDs) according to established procedures.
• Assist truck drivers, freight forwarders, customs representatives, and other warehouse personnel.
• Follow established safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Assist in different warehouse areas as needed and participate in cross-training.
• Handle temperature-sensitive and pharmaceutical freight according to required training and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous warehouse, freight handling, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. independently and maneuver heavier freight with assistance.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail when handling freight and completing documentation.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Willingness to complete required cargo security and specialized freight-handling training.
• Ability to meet applicable air cargo security and background screening requirements.
• Flexibility to work overtime, sometimes on short notice, based on operational needs.
