Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Charlotte, MI to support aftermarket warehouse distribution. This hourly role involves picking, packing, inventory control, and safe handling of materials using ERP/MRP systems and barcode scanners.

You will operate forklifts or stand-up trucks, participate in cycle counts, and ensure timely order fulfillment. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years warehouse experience are required; a valid driver’s license is also needed.

Qualifications

Warehouse Associate | Charlotte, MI (SV)

Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $18.80 - 22.94

What you’ll do:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our growing aftermarket warehouse distribution team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our aftermarket parts distribution hub. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking and putting away parts, maintaining inventory, packaging and shipping orders, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position plays an important role in making sure our customers receive the right parts, on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking & Put-Away: Read operational schedules and order sheets to accurately pick aftermarket parts from warehouse locations. Transport materials to and from bins, skids, racks, and containers.
  • Material Handling: Safely operate order pickers, forklifts, and stand-up trucks to move materials and place incoming stock in the correct inventory locations.
  • Line Set & Organization: Stage and organize materials to support production and distribution operations and ensure parts are readily available when needed.
  • Packaging & Shipping: Inspect parts for damage or quality concerns before shipment. Package, kit, and label aftermarket parts securely to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload shipping containers, delivery trucks, pallets, and other materials.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory through routine cycle counts, stock transfers, and proper material movement. Identify and report part shortages, damaged materials, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Systems & Scanning: Use ERP/MRP systems and handheld barcode scanners to accurately record inventory transactions and track material movements.
  • Equipment Operation: Maintain required forklift and stand-up truck certifications and complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs as required.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment. Follow all safety procedures and actively support a culture of workplace safety.
  • Teamwork: Assist team members with material handling and lifting when needed. Support other warehouse and distribution activities as assigned.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in physical inventory activities, 5S, Lean initiatives, and other quality and process improvement efforts.
  • Attendance & Flexibility: Report to work reliably and be willing to work overtime or adjust schedules as needed to support increased order volumes and customer demand.
What you need to be successful:
  • High SchoolDiploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of provenexperience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Valid driver's licenserequired. Ability to maintain an internal forklift, pallet jack, andstand-up truck operator certification.
  • Working knowledge ofERP/MRP warehouse software and handheld barcode scanner systems.
  • Ability to lift and move aminimum of 40 pounds without assistance. Ability to climb a ladder to aheight of at least 20 feet while wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Continuous physicalmovement including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pullingthroughout the shift.
  • Regular operation ofindustrial equipment, material handling vehicles, and power tools.
  • Coordination required forprecise barcode scanning, writing reports, and logging digital inventoryentries.
  • Occasional extended hoursor weekend shifts depending on customer demands and shipment schedules.
