Description

Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient picking and shipping of finished goods and raw materials. This includes precisely selecting items based on picking lists and performing various packaging functions, such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, taping, packing, or wrapping containers to prepare them for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment & Shipping:

• Accurately confirm items and quantities against picking tickets or other documentation.
• Pack and ship orders accurately and on time, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Wrap, tie, and place materials into appropriate containers (envelopes, boxes, etc.).
• Apply addresses to packaged materials via stamping, typing, or writing.
• Generate packing lists, manifests, and Bills of Lading (BOLs), and arrange transportation.
• Promptly notify the account manager, customer service, or warehouse manager of any backorders.
• Process returned goods according to established procedures.

Packaging & Production Support:

• Perform all packaging functions, including boxing, labeling, and palletizing products.
• Inspect filled containers to ensure products are packaged according to specifications.
• Ensure accurate printing of lot numbers, expiration dates, and other relevant information on all packaging levels (primary, secondary, tertiary).
• Replenish packaging supplies as needed and communicate material needs to Team Leads.

Inventory & Material Handling:

• Maintain accurate inventory control by following all SOPs and processes and participate in inventory counts.
• Keep and maintain all required records of materials sent.
• Requisition and store shipping supplies to maintain adequate stock.
• Safely operate a pallet jack.
• Properly handle and dispose of scrap products, including identifying and managing expired, flammable, or other hazardous materials in accordance with procedures.
• Identify hazardous materials and ensure their safe and appropriate transportation.

Work Environment & Teamwork:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment in their designated area throughout and at the end of each shift.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or inconveniences to Team Leaders.
• Assist other teammates as needed, demonstrating a strong teamwork mindset.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months of relevant experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to accurately count and measure items.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to solve basic problems related to shipping and order fulfillment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
