Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Associate for our Boerne location! This position will be second shift, working from 2pm until 10pm, Monday - Friday. Training will be on our first shift, Mon-Fri from 6am to 2pm, for the first month. Our facility is climate controlled and easy to get to - just a minute from I10!

Job Purpose

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely receiving and storing inbound raw materials; dispersing raw materials to production areas to attain production goals. They are also responsible for accurately shipping finished goods on time to customers. Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in stores and throughout production through monthly cycle counts and reporting results to accounting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily material handling activities at the Boerne site, including delivering and picking up materials, parts, and Kanban cards on designated routes.
  • Work with VSLs, Team leads, and Quality Techs to manage material flow between the stockroom, warehouse, and shop floor.
  • Prepare materials for delivery to Production and assist with hardware kits to support production needs.
  • Perform weekly/monthly inventory counts, ensure batch/lot (FIFO & FEFO) on material being transacted, and perform all relevant SAP transactions and reporting.
  • Load and unload freight vehicles with forklift and other material handling equipment, and package materials for transport or storage.
  • Work flexible hours to meet departmental objectives and understand customer shipment schedules.
  • Prepare outbound shipments and logistics documentation.
  • Observe safety policies, maintain workplace organization, and adhere to company and governmental policies.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in solving problems, drive continuous improvements, and maintain warehouse organization (5S).
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and embody Albany Engineered Composites core values.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Characteristics
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience with SAP system and warehouse operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and operate safety equipment properly.
Working Conditions

Indoor environment with occasional outside work, moderate noise, and machinery. Flexibility for 24/7 schedule and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

Occasional movement of items >10 lbs., frequent movement around the facility, and ability to remain stationary for up to 75% of the time. Regular computer use.
