Spartan Industrial and Marine in Belle Chasse, LA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to support daily operations, handling, storing, and moving industrial and marine products. You will load/unload, pick/pack, and maintain inventory accuracy while keeping the warehouse safe and organized.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, operate or train on a forklift, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment, preferably industrial or marine.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks containing industrial and marine products, supplies, and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Organize inventory and ensure proper labeling and placement of products.
• Assist with routine inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments.

About this position

Spartan Industrial and Marine, a division of Singer Industrial, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Belle Chasse, LA. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring the accurate handling, storage, and movement of industrial and marine products. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks containing industrial and marine products, supplies, and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming inventory.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Organize inventory and ensure proper labeling and placement of products throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with routine inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse maintenance and organization.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred, particularly in an industrial or marine setting.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with industrial products, tools, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must possess a clean driving record.
