Job summary

The Vitamin Shoppe in Avondale, Arizona is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for the Shipment Department. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime as needed, and pays $17 per hour.

You will load, palletize, wrap pallets, and use RF scanners and the Warehouse Management System to process inbound and outbound shipments, while upholding safety and productivity standards. Benefits include competitive wages paid bi-weekly, semi-annual pay increases, advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience with warehouse processes and basic equipment is a plus.

• Operate RF scanners and follow Warehouse Management System procedures.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity and attendance standards.
• Assist with daily shipments and contribute to process improvements.

Location

The role is based in our Avondale, Arizona Distribution Center.

Overview

The role is based in our Avondale, Arizona Distribution Center and is Full Time, Weekday Shift in the Shipment Department. The schedule for the role is Monday - Friday – 7:00am – 3:30pm. (Plus OT)

Compensation

The wage for this position is based on many factors such as role requirements, skill set, years of experience and other organizational needs. The wage is $17 per hour.

Responsibilities

• The storage, process and shipment of product while meeting safety, quality, productivity, attendance and behavioral Vitamin Shoppe expectations.
• Effectively and efficiently uses established procedures, tools, equipment (including RF Scanners), and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes within the Warehouse.

Education / Certification

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.

Skill And Ability

• Loading Trailers
• Palletizing and case sorting to proper stores/or routes.
• Wrapping pallets using proper tools.
• Properly assists Coordinator with closing daily shipments.
• Handling damaged goods following SOP set procedures.
• Must be able to handle up to 50lbs. On average, cases can weigh up to 30 to 35lbs.
• Resets Shipping sorter timely when jams occur to prevent downtime.
• Must be able to be on your feet for up to 10hrs shifts.
• Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment
• InformsManager or Lead of any problems and actively participates in process improvements
• Able to operate held RF scanner or other devices associated with Warehouse Management System
• Able to meet safety, quality, productivity and attendance requirements
• Able to work in a fast pace environment
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able and willing to work overtime when required
