Job summary

RightStone is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Atlanta, GA for a 1-month contract with potential to become permanent. You will move, lift, and load storage boxes (10–100 lbs), operate hand trucks and pallet jacks, and use a handheld scanner in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, five days a week with breaks; overtime and weekend shifts may occur depending on workload. This role requires physical endurance and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be able to independently lift and carry boxes ranging from 10-100 lbs.
• Read and write in English proficiently.
• Physical agility including kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
• Experience with using handheld scanners and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and handle items such as files, books, binders, and backup tapes.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving boxes on various surfaces.
• Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling aids.
• Load pallets and assist with loading boxes onto pallets and trucks.

Job description

We are looking for dedicated Warehouse Associate in Atlanta, GA 30336 with $17.51/hr pay for a 1-month contract duration (potential temp-to-perm). In this role, you will play a vital part in the moving, arranging, lifting, and loading of storage boxes, bins, and totes. This position requires physical agility as you will frequently kneel, squat, reach, bend forward, and handle items ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. If you have the physical capabilities and attention to detail required for this role

Shift Schedule: 8: 00 AM - 5: 00 PM (5 days a week including 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. OT and weekend shift depending on the workload)

Roles and Requirements

• Process orders and handle items such as files, books, binders, and backup tapes.
• The work is physically demanding, involving manual lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• You should be capable of independently lifting and carrying boxes ranging from 10-100 lbs regularly.
• Operating hand trucks and pallet jacks on varying surfaces is also a key aspect of the role.

Essential Functions

• Perform tasks like walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and bending for extended periods.
• Independently handle gripping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and changes in surface/elevation.
• Read and write in English proficiently.
• Lift and move boxes, process orders, and use a proprietary computer system for tracking.
• Operate handheld scanners and maintain balance on ladders.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. For prolonged periods.
• Expertly load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various material handling aids.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets on ground level or carts, and manually load boxes onto pallets and trucks.
