Basic Function:The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operation. Primary duties will include: picking, shipping, staging, receiving, freight processing, inventory control, and general warehouse cleanliness.

Essential Functions:

• Order Selection and Shipping:
  • Operates cart or pallet jack to pick product orders
  • Picks orders from designated locations as required per pick lists. Ensures all product picked matches pick list.
  • Safely and efficiently organizes products into appropriate container and location for shipping process.
  • Efficiently and thoroughly packs products to minimize shipping damage.
  • Prepares both company required shipping documentation per order and carrier manifests before product leaves premises, (i.e. FedEx, SpeeDee, Truck and end of day postings).
  • Perform ship Sales Order functions and shipment tracking.
• Inventory Control:
  • Alerts management of inventory discrepancies. Takes action to locate inventory and/or correct system.
  • Performs cycle counts on a scheduled basis, records results and makes placement adjustments as necessary.
  • Assists with labeling and put away of inbound freight.
  • Assists with building kits and assembly operations.
  • Controls demo product movement from warehouse.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
• Keeps work area clean and organized. Actively participates in general warehouse cleaning and organization.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with personnel in other departments to ensure the proper coordination of inventory and orders.
• Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
• Attends training as directed by GNE.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

• At least 1 year of related warehouse experience.
• Speak, write, and read English.
• Computer skills – including navigation of ERP, use Microsoft Suite including outlook and Excel.
• Possess a forklift certification or have the ability to be adequately trained to obtain one.

Preferred

• Experience with RF scanners.
• Experience with smallpackage freight and/or LTL
• High School education or equivalent.

Machines/Equipment:In the normal course of performing this job a telephone, headset, RF scanner, and computer will be used. Machinery used include cart and pallet jack.
