SUMMARY

The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor provides support in overseeing warehouse operations, assisting with production line support, inventory management, and shipping activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material flow, inventory accuracy, and efficient warehouse processes while working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and components to production lines.
• Support manufacturing teams in optimizing material flow and minimizing production downtime.
• Help implement and manage warehouse automation and material handling systems under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Support inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Assist in ensuring adherence to policies and procedures to minimize inventory discrepancies and waste.
• Help in utilizing data analytics and inventory tracking technologies to enhance inventory visibility.
• Assist with receiving, warehousing, and distributing materials and products to meet production and customer demands.
• Support in optimizing dock operations and coordinating with carriers for timely shipping.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety practices in shipping and receiving.
• Assist in leading and mentoring warehouse teams, focusing on developing team skills and promoting operational efficiency.
• Help with implementing process improvements and tracking warehouse performance under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Promote safety awareness and assist in training warehouse personnel on safe practices and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, and
• 1-3 years’ experience in warehouse operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior supervisory experience and expertise in assigned area.
