Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is hiring for a central warehouse position within the Food Services department. This full-time role supports receiving, storage and distribution of food provisions and equipment to the central kitchen and district sites.

The position commands a 1.0 FTE schedule, eight hours a day, with a 10-month work calendar. Strong communication and basic math are required, along with appropriate background checks and licensing as noted in the posting.

Minimum Requirements

• One-year shipping and receiving or warehouse experience OR One year experience driving delivery vehicles on routes.
• Verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of basic math principles.

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Must hold a current Arizona state operator’s (CLASS D) license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
• ADOT (Arizona Dept. of Transportation) Medical Certificate required after hire
• Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of auto insurance policy. Coverage must be valid throughout term of employment.
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test.

Preferred Requirements

• Six months experience operating a forklift and/or airlift.

Classification: Blue Collar

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day

Work Calendar: 10 Month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
