Job description

T.E.M. Group Inc. seeks a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver to support our warehouse operations, inventory management, and on-site deliveries. This is a long-term role, essential to keeping our operations running smoothly and supporting our team’s success on every project.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Procurement:

• Safely and promptly deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
• Maintain a valid medical card for non-CDL vehicles and secure loads using proper binding straps and packaging.

Inventory Management:

• Organize and manage warehouse inventory under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, including processing orders/returns and maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Operate or learn to operate a forklift for efficient material handling.

Equipment & Tools Maintenance:

• Inspect, maintain, and store tools and equipment to ensure they are always job-ready.
• Rig loads and operate heavy machinery, such as skid steers and mini excavators, or be willing to learn.
• Keep office and warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance (e.g., changing tires, jump-starting vehicles, and conducting preventative care on small motors).

Pre-Fab Operations:

• Collaborate with teams to complete pre-fabrication tasks and ensure project goals are met.

Safety & Compliance:

• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and integrity in all areas of operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

• 2+ years in warehouse or delivery roles preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical construction tools and materials is a plus but not required (willingness to learn is key).
• Basic mechanic skills, such as changing tires and performing vehicle maintenance, are an advantage.

Licensing:

• Valid driver’s license required (DOT Med Card and CDL is a bonus). Will be required to obtain a Med Card if you don’t already have one to operate certain vehicles in the TEM fleet.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with power/hand tools.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, and willingness to learn new technologies).

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50lbs in a safe manner.
• Climb step or extension ladders (up to 28 feet).
• Drive continuously for up to 3 hours and stand for 3+ hours.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Living within 45 minutes of the shop/office is strongly preferred.
• A professional, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to follow through on responsibilities.
• Hourly Wage: $18–$22 per hour
• Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (1-hour lunch). Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed.
