Role Title: Warehouse Assistant (Stamford CT)
Purpose of Function: To assist with Little Greene’s Supply Operations. The aim is to use best practice to ensure excellent customer service at minimum supply chain cost.
Purpose of Role: Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, our warehouse assistants play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Undertaking a range of warehouse related duties including forklift driving and encompassing both goods 'in’ and 'out’, you will be expected to maintain close working ties with all areas which includes the customer service team based in the UK.
Accountabilities
· Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of goods, always maintaining a high standard of safety.
· Previous experience in a similar warehouse role is desirable.
· Assist with perpetual cycle counts using the RF Scanners on a weekly basis.
· Always being aware of possible stock shortages and informing the warehouse Supervisors or the managers.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing tasks.
· A proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Receive and process customer or supplier returns.
· Efficiently and accurately picking and packing orders in a timely manner.
· Proven experience as a forklift operator.
· Valid certification to operate forklifts.
· Organized with excellent attention to detail.
· Resilience and positive attitude in challenging situations.
· Commitment and flexibility to meet tight deadlines.
· Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing circumstances.
· Ability to work efficiently using own initiative.
· Strong team player with a willingness to actively contribute.
· Complying with all health and safety regulations, following proper procedures and protocols.
· Using the TC 57 Scanners, correctly picking and packing orders according to the customer requirements.
· Operating various warehouse equipment and machinery, adhering to proper safety guidelines.
· Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, keeping it free from hazards and obstacles.
· Ability to work alone and use initiative to get things done
· Police perpetual stock checks / cycle counts to measure the accuracy of physical inventory on site. The target is to attain a minimum value of 98%.
· Comply with regulatory requirements.
· Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
Skills and Experience
· Experienced in using Microsoft Dynamics 365
· Experienced in all-warehouse operations.
· Experienced in using Zebra TC 57 scanners are equivalent.
· Customer focused and aware of customer needs.
· Excellent organizational, Communication and planning skills.
· Dynamic and a lateral thinker
· Excellent Information Technology skills, particularly MS Excel
