Job summary

J&O Plastics in Ohio seeks a Warehouse Assistant to support movement of components and finished goods, cross-training across warehouse functions. You will safely operate forklift and pallet jack, wrap and label shipments, and assist in inventory controls.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, reliable communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move finished skids from Final Quality to wrapper and to Warehouse.
• Wrap skids for shipment and label products.
• Check product quality and report any defects.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Label products for shipment and manage loading.
• Participate in physical inventory and monitor stock levels.
• Handle truck loading/unloading efficiently and safely.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times.
• Multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager our Warehouse Assistants are responsible for the movement of incoming componentry and outgoing finished goods to customers. Our Warehouse Assistants are cross-trained in all aspects of the warehouse.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Moving finished skids from Final Quality to wrapper, wrapper to Warehouse
• Wrapping all skids for shipment
• Check quality of product prior to pulling order. Report poor quality items to management.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack.
• Label product for shipment
• Participate in the ongoing physical inventory of warehouse items and monitor inventory to maintain adequate supply of items.
• Effectively and efficiently handle truck loading and unloading
• Maintains warehouse in a clean, orderly manner.
• Ability to multitask in a customer focused, fast paced environment.
• Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
