Job description

Position Title: Warehouse Assistant

Wage: $18.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:30am - 4:00pm

About the Position

QPS Employment Group has a great Warehouse Assistant position available at a company in Evansville, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Warehouse Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. General cleaning and housekeeping; ensuring every material and product has a designated space.
2. Utilizing forklift (once certified by the company) to move products throughout the facility and outside yard.
3. Using a plasma cutter (once trained) to dismantle old racks and structures.
4. Disposing of old materials, waste, or debris.
5. Cleaning and degreasing walls; must be comfortable working at heights.
6. Painting using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
7. Applying tape or painting floors to designate specific areas for walking or storage.
8. Using hand and power tools to assemble new racks.
9. Organizing parts and materials within the plant and yard, creating labels as needed.
10. Maintaining the outside yard and cleaning up debris from materials.
11. Utilizing overhead cranes (once trained) to move materials.

Warehouse Assistant Requirements:

1. Painting skills or experience preferred.
2. Forklift experience preferred.
3. Experience with small hand and power tools required.
4. Ability to switch tasks and directions throughout the shift required.
5. Ability to walk or stand for most of a 10-hour shift.
6. Good math skills required.
7. Ability to accurately read a tape measure required.
8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
