Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Warehouse Specialist to support Army equipment turn-ins at Fort Drum, NY. The role covers receiving, storing, documenting, and distributing assets in compliance with DA regulations, OSHA, and contract requirements.

You will work with supply technicians to maintain accurate inventory and enable efficient operations. Responsibilities include verifying turn-in documents, staging items, operating forklifts and MHE, and assisting with audits and PARs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or supply preferred.
• Experience: 2–4 years of warehouse, supply, or logistics experience (Army or contractor preferred).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in and supply procedures highly desirable.
• Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, LMP, DPAS).
• Material handling and warehouse safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify equipment and materiel turned in from Army units.
• Check turn-in documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in inspection and condition coding of items before storage or disposition.
• Coordinate staging and movement of items into designated warehouse or yard areas.
• Store, organize, and maintain items in warehouse locations in compliance with DA PAM 710-2-1 and AR 735-5.
• Perform location surveys, bin checks, and cyclic inventories to maintain accountability.
• Maintain segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, HAZMAT, and sensitive items.
• Support preparation for PARs and audits.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE to move and stage equipment.
