Job summary

Trackmobile is seeking a seasoned warehouse supervisor to coordinate daily warehouse workflow, schedule staff, and oversee shipping operations to meet customers’ demands and budgets.

You will lead a team, ensure safety, and collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service to identify improvements in space, processes, and costs. Equal opportunity employer with accommodations available upon request.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Six Sigma (Lean) preferred.
• Typically requires at least five years of related experience; 1-3 years supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily warehouse workflow and schedules staff to ensure coverage across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manages daily shipping operations including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation, and coordinating freight pickup.
• Investigates and resolves shipping quality concerns, damages, and lost freight claims.
• Builds and maintains relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to discuss service levels and cost-effective options.
• Ensures milestones and budgets are met; tracks inventory cleanup and warehouse layout changes.
• Has authority for hiring and training new warehouse staff.
• Promotes efficient operations by collaborating with production, purchasing, and customer service to resolve material availability or delivery issues.
• Researches opportunities to improve warehouse operations, space utilization, or technology enhancements.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and PPE use.
• Works to meet customer demands, prioritizes urgent orders, and communicates delays.
• Communicates shipment arrangements and freight quoting with customers.
• Coordinates with drivers and loads equipment as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Coordinates the ordering and distribution of products, parts, and accessories. Ensures adequate and timely distribution of these elements to attain maximum sales potential consistent with good inventory control. Leads a team of direct reports.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversees daily warehouse workflow and schedules staff to ensure appropriate coverage, such as assigning team members to receiving, picking, packing, and shipping areas based on workload.
• Manages daily shipping operations, including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation, and transportation oversight, such as verifying shipment accuracy and coordinating freight pickup schedules.
• Investigates and resolves shipping quality concerns, damages, and lost freight claims, such as reviewing carrier documentation, photos, and delivery records to determine next steps.
• Builds and maintains relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors, such as discussing service issues, delivery timelines, and cost-effective shipping options.
• Ensures project and department milestones are met while adhering to approved budgets, such as tracking progress on inventory cleanup, warehouse layout changes, or shipping cost initiatives.
• Has full authority for personnel actions, including hiring and training new warehouse employees, such as participating in interviews, onboarding new hires, and ensuring required training is completed.
• Promotes efficient warehouse operations by coordinating and collaborating with other departments, such as working with production, purchasing, and customer service to resolve material availability or delivery issues.
• Researches, identifies, and presents opportunities to improve warehouse operations, such as recommending process changes, space utilization improvements, or technology enhancements.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies, such as reinforcing proper forklift operation, PPE use, housekeeping, and incident reporting procedures.
• Works to meet internal and external customer demands and support customer satisfaction, such as prioritizing urgent orders, communicating delays, and ensuring accurate shipments.
• Communicates directly with customers on shipment arrangements and freight quoting.
• Coordinates with drivers and loads equipment as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned, such as supporting special projects, audits, inventory counts, or cross-functional warehouse initiatives.

Logistics Responsibilities

• Coordinates with logistics providers to ensure delivery on time of both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Oversees logistics flow and organizes staff to accomplish daily objectives.
