Responsibilities

• Oversees and reviews incoming shipments for identification and damage and coordinates with Quality Control.
• Coordinates and confirms receipt documentation for internal/external customers.
• Serves as point of contact for priority incoming shipments.
• Routes received material accordingly (inspection, put-away, non-inventory, engineering, personal package).
• Executes receiving transactions into the Inventory tracking system and verifies quantity and serials.
• Creates inventory locations in the warehouse tracking system.
• Resolves discrepancies with accounting on invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Executes movement of material from receiving to the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Advises on storage space utilization and adjusts inventory storage accordingly.
• Executes picking and kitting of materials for work orders with accuracy.
• Oversees inventory rotation (FIFO).
• Executes cycle count validation and targets 95%+ accuracy.
• Coordinates supplier RMA process with buyers and Logistics.
• Assists in AS9100 inventory audits.

Warehouse and Receiving Specialist

Overview

The warehouse/receiving specialist executes the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments, and production work orders in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. This position will be located in our Jessup, MD headquarters.

Essential Responsibilities

Interacts frequently with internal and external personnel and customers. Obtains or provides information on important or sensitive organization matters.

• Oversees and reviews incoming shipments for identification and damage and coordinates with Quality Control.
• Coordinates and confirms receipt documentation for internal/external customers.
• Serves as point of contact for priority incoming shipments.
• Routes received material accordingly (e.g. Inspection/put-away/non-inventory-engineering/personal package).
• Executes receiving transactions into Inventory tracking system. Confirm quantity count & serial numbers to ensure physical parts match with packing slip and purchase order.
• Creates inventory locations in tracking system of physical warehouse inventory.
• Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Execute timely data entry and manage several reports. Perform Data maintenance and clean up projects.
• Execute the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Advises most efficient use of storage space; adjusts inventory storage for best use of storage space
• Executes picking and kitting of materials from storage to provided work order kit lists with absolute accuracy. Stages material for assembly and sub-assembly production work. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Prefer additional skill or capacity to learn work order creation and closing
• Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse (FIFO methods).
• Execute cycle count validation of inventory items to provided count lists.
• Strive to achieve 95%+ accuracy of warehouse inventory.
• Coordinates supplier RMA process with buyers and Logistics.
• Assists in compliance and inventory audits for AS9100 compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and typically 2 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge formal MRP Inventory control systems (any)

Physical Demands

This is largely an active role; however, some sedentary desk work and filing is required. This would require the ability to lift parts and components and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift components and product up to 50 pounds and team lifts of 100 pounds.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for non-exempt: $20.76 - $28.55 per hour
