Job summary

Capitol Distributing in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Warehouse & Fulfillment Clerk to support customer order fulfillment and general warehouse operations. This role will pick and prepare customer orders while performing warehouse tasks such as replenishment, inventory organization, tote handling, and maintaining clean work areas.

Responsibilities

• Pick products accurately to fill customer orders.
• Use electronic scanning devices to locate, pick, and fulfill customer orders.
• Place products into totes and package items correctly.
• Place totes and full-case items onto sorting belts or rollers for the Loading team.
• Assist the Order Selection team and other warehouse areas as needed.
• Communicate with coworkers, Leads, and Supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and meet order demands.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity while working in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
• Safely, accurately, and efficiently replenish products throughout the warehouse.
• Replenish products into designated inventory slots.
• Rotate products FIFO, obtain products from Receiving, unload totes, operate warehouse equipment, maintain inventory locations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; follow safety guidelines.

Job Description

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour + bonuses.

Schedule: Part-time approximately 20–25 hours per week. Weekend availability is required. Schedule is based on operational needs and may include early morning, afternoon/evening, and weekend hours.

Position Summary: The Part-Time Weekend Warehouse & Fulfillment Clerk is a flexible warehouse position responsible for supporting both customer order fulfillment and general warehouse operations. This position will pick and prepare customer orders while also performing warehouse functions such as product replenishment, inventory organization, tote handling, product rotation, and maintaining clean and organized work areas.

The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, following safety and security procedures, and communicating effectively with coworkers, Leads, Supervisors, and other teams. Employees in this position may be assigned to different areas of the warehouse based on business and operational needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pick products accurately to fill customer orders.
• Use electronic scanning devices to locate, pick, and fulfill customer orders.
• Place products into totes and package items correctly.
• Place totes and full-case items onto sorting belts or rollers for the Loading team.
• Assist the Order Selection team and other warehouse areas as needed.
• Communicate with coworkers, Leads, and Supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and meet order demands.

Warehouse Clerk:

• Safely, accurately, and efficiently replenish products throughout the warehouse.
• Replenish products into designated inventory slots.
• Rotate products throughout the facility using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
• Assist in obtaining products from the Receiving team.
• Unload empty totes from trailers.
• Operate designated warehouse equipment and machinery safely.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory locations.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Fold and stack cardboard and assist with general warehouse housekeeping.
• Follow all safety, security, and operational guidelines.
• Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to safely use warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Ability to use an electronic scanner to locate and pick products.
• Ability to understand and follow warehouse mapping and product locations.
• Ability to lift and move products and cases, occasionally 50+ lbs.
• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, Leads, Supervisors, and other departments.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work a part-time schedule of approximately 20–25 hours per week.
• Weekend availability is required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

This is a fast-paced warehouse position requiring significant movement throughout the facility. Employees may work in ambient, refrigerated, or freezer areas depending on business needs and assignment.

Employees working in freezer conditions will be provided with appropriate cold-weather gear and will receive applicable hourly differentials. Employees working in refrigerated areas will be provided with gloves and required PPE. The position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, reaching in various directions, moving throughout warehouse modules and inventory areas, lifting and moving products.

The position may occasionally require lifting or moving products weighing 50+ pounds. Employees must be able to understand and follow basic instructions, company policies, safety procedures, and operational requirements.
