Air General Inc. is hiring full-time Warehouse Agents at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, TX. The role centers on loading/unloading air cargo, moving freight between terminals and aircraft, and ensuring proper handling and documentation at the docks.

You may operate forklifts/pallet jacks and assist in security monitoring. The team works in a high-noise, fast-paced environment with varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings and security checks.
• Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
• Move air cargo within designated warehouses.
• Build up cargo for outbound flights.
• Break down cargo from import flights.
• Facilitate loading/unloading of cargo to/from semitrucks.
• May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Check freight for piece count, weight, and documents.
• Report security breaches or non-compliance to managers.

May be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of the facility. Remain cognizant of AG staff, security contractors, and visitors' activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the applicable airport reporting system. Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouses.

Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.

Build up cargo for outbound flights.

Break down cargo from import flights.

Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.

May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.

Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.

May transport cargo to and from aircraft driving, 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicles with attached carts through congested areas. Reading "off-load" sheets to determine the destination of cargo.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

High school diploma or GED required.

Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.

Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens.

Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to handle stress in a high-noise fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Some travel may be required for airline specific training.
