Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Warehouse Agent in Rockford, IL to receive/ship and handle e-commerce parcels within the cargo warehouse. The role may require work inside the cargo warehouse, airside, or landside, and involves driving/small vehicle operation with heavy lifting. Schedule: day shifts with varied days.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Must pass FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Must pass pre-employment medical and a drug test.
• All hires undergo security clearances (10-year criminal background check), 5 years employment and educational verification, drug screen and physical test.

• Handles parcels through the parcel handling system, introducing parcels through roller systems and x-ray units.
• Inspects cargo at acceptance for tampering, damage, or pilferage.
• Reports irregularities to management.
• Transfers freight using forklift or hand truck.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards and air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdown to/from skid, pallets, or ULDs.
• Screens cargo through physical search and X-ray screening.

Role Purpose

The Warehouse Agent receives/ships and handles e-commerce parcels within the cargo warehouse following established guidelines. Parcel handling activities may take place inside the cargo warehouse, airside, or landside. The Warehouse Agent will also drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. This position will require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.

What You Will Be Doing

• Handles parcels through the parcel handling system, by introducing parcels through the roller system and x-ray units.
• Inspects the cargo at the time of acceptance for signs of tampering, damage, or pilferage.
• Reports any irregularities to the management team.
• Transfers freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or hand truck.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdown to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.
• Screen cargo through physical search and X-ray screening.
• Compensation: $19-$21.00 per hour.
• Day Time Shift: Sun-Wed, Thurs-Sun 07:30-18:00
