Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Assistant II, Administration to support one or more senior leaders with daily office activities. The role manages schedules, travel arrangements, and handles confidential matters, representing the company internally and externally with discretion.

Responsibilities include creating and editing documents, coordinating interviews, planning engagement events, and ensuring efficient site operations while maintaining accuracy and compliance with safety and regulatory

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in an administrative, warehouse support, logistics, or customer service role preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with employees, customers, and leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Ability to analyze information, resolve issues, and support operational processes in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to overall team and operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily administrative and office operations, including managing warehouse supplies, onboarding materials, training resources, and other site support needs.
  • Support warehouse operations by organizing, tracking, and maintaining critical documentation, records, and administrative processes.
  • Create, edit, proofread, and format presentations, reports, and other business documents for leadership meetings and operational reviews.
  • Partner with leadership teams to prepare reports, coordinate interviews, manage special projects, plan employee engagement events, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Manage and prioritize calendars for one or more leaders, ensuring efficient scheduling of meetings, conference calls, and operational activities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries from employees, customers, and business partners.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to facilitate information sharing, resolve issues, and support operational objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records, reports, and site communications to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through proactive support of employee programs, team events, and site initiatives.
  • Comply with and champion all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including adherence to Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and the proper use of required PPE and material handling safety equipment.

Job description

Shift: Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm or until work is completed

Anticipated hourly range:$19.08 per hour - $23.50 per hour

What Administration contributes to Cardinal Health

Administration is responsible for performing a variety of administrative activities in support of their assigned work team. May assist executives in budget preparation, record maintenance, and generating reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. Uses company software to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Serves as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues. Will assist in managing and paying invoices.
