Pella Windows & Doors of the Carolinas and Southwest Virginia is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 1st shift in Irmo, SC. This full-time role focuses on accurate receiving and shipping, inventory integrity, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading/unloading heavy items, and using scanners to track stock. A high school diploma is required; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs. and work in a physically demanding setting.
• Experience in a warehouse environment, especially with windows and doors, is a plus.

• Safely handles large, heavy, and fragile windows and doors while maintaining accurate staging locations and storage.
• Operates forklifts and cherry pickers to move products and stage in correct locations.
• Uses warehouse scanners to track inventory and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Identifies and helps implement process improvements to enhance safety, product quality, inventory accuracy, productivity and customer service.
• Loads and unloads heavy material as part of a team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate receiving and shipping of materials, maintaining inventory integrity, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Success in this role requires hands-on warehouse experience, ability to work as a team, and strong initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Always exhibits the highest standard of personal ethics and adheres to all Pella Carolina policies.
• Promotes a culture of safety and accountability by adhering to established protocols, proactively identifying potential risks, and fostering a workplace environment where safety is a shared priority.
• Safely handles large, heavy, and fragile windows and doors while maintaining accurate staging locations and storage.
• Inspects inbound and outbound products for visible damageand properly identifies and reports damage, held, returned, or nonconforming product.
• Regularly loads and unloadsheavy material while working as a team to handle and organize windows and doors safely and efficiently.
• Operates forklifts and cherry pickers to move products and stage in correct locations.
• Uses warehouse scanners to track inventory and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
• Identifies, recommends, and helps implement process improvements that enhance safety, product quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs. and work in a physically demanding setting.
• Familiarity with handling large, fragile items such as windows and doors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse environment; experience with window and door products or building materials is a plus.
