Job summary

Schillings is hiring a Warehouse team member for our Saint John, IN location. This full-time role emphasizes keeping warehouses organized, accurate order pulling, equipment operation, and a strong safety mindset. You will be required to lift heavy loads, work outside in all weather, and communicate clearly with supervisors and customers.

Qualifications

• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Regularly lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs and may lift up to 80 lbs.
• Frequently sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, climb, carry, and walk in yard/warehouse environments.
• Safely operate all equipment listed, including sweepers, skid steers, order pickers (8–30 ft), forklifts, trucks and vans.
• Work outside in all weather conditions; communicate clearly via radios or in person.
• Identify safety hazards and follow proper procedures for damaged items.
• Be customer-friendly, moving with urgency to assist waiting customers.
• Read a tape measure and perform basic math; wear composite/steel-toe shoes (boot reimbursement provided).
• Organizational skills; basic math; willingness to learn product locations across warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Keep warehouses organized and clean and pull orders accurately.
• Receive and check-in new materials and maintain inventory counts.
• Load/unload box trucks/semis and drive non-CDL trucks as needed.
• Float between warehouses; maintain knowledge of products and safety rules.
• Report damaged/missing products to Operations Manager and follow damage procedures.
• Communicate with Operations Manager to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Support yard/warehouse operations and assist customers with a smile.

Job description

Great news! Schillings is currently looking for a Warehouse team member at our Saint John, IN location. We offer competitive pay along with a full package of benefits and opportunities for advancement. This position will be full-time with no nights or Sundays.

Responsibilities:

• Keep warehouses organized and clean, with orders pulled efficiently and accurately


• Receive and check-in new materials


• Keep up with inventory, including counting and re-counting


• Load and unload box trucks/semis


• Basic lawn maintenance; snow removal in the winter


• Report damaged/missing products to Operations Manager


• Follow proper procedures for damaged items


• Float between Warehouses as needed, while maintaining knowledge of different products


• Drive Non-CDL trucks as needed


• Communicate with Operations Manager to ensure all tasks are complete


• Any other tasks or areas of responsibility that the Operations Manager or Schilling family deem appropriate

Education/Requirements:

• Maintain a valid driver's license

• Recognize and distinguish safety alarms and alert signals


• Identify, recognize, and respond to any safety/hazardous situations
