Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking a Ward Support Assistant to provide customer-focused service to patients and stakeholders within Alfred Health. You will support ward operations, adhere to requirements, and perform scheduled and ad-hoc tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.

Casual shifts are available across morning, afternoon and night, located at The Alfred with great staff benefits. Applications close 14 October 2026.

Qualifications

• You must hold a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
• Have the ability and adaptability to participate in change

Responsibilities

• The Ward Support Assistant will provide a customer focused service to patients and relevant stakeholders of Alfred Health and adhere to all requirements ensuring the support services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
• The Ward Support Assistant will perform all scheduled and ad-hoc support tasks within a specific ward as required.

The Department

Alfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, these services include cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services and hospitality.

The Ward Support Assistant will provide a customer focused service to patients and relevant stakeholders of Alfred Health and adhere to all requirements ensuring the support services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner. The Ward Support Assistant will perform all scheduled and ad-hoc support tasks within a specific ward as required.
